Privacy Policy
Last updated: 21 October 2026
This policy explains what information CongressMCP collects, how we use it, and how to contact us. CongressMCP does not sign in to or continuously scan your inbox or third-party subscription accounts.
1. Information We Collect
- Account & contact details: Your email address, name, and (if provided) mobile/cell number and organization.
- Workspace & policy-inbox content: Notes, whip counts, scorecards, contacts, and any selected original message body or AI-derived story intelligence that you or your authorized AI client submit to a workspace. For policy-inbox imports, CongressMCP receives message content only when the AI client sends selected material through the import tool.
- Cookies, attribution & usage: Essential session/security cookies and technical request/audit logs needed to operate and secure the service. If you allow optional measurement, we also retain campaign parameters, advertising click identifiers, the landing path, referring website and signup entry point in first-party attribution storage.
- Billing: Paid subscriptions are processed by Stripe; CongressMCP does not store your full card number.
2. How We Use Information
We use your information to authenticate your account, provide legislative research and workspace features, deliver requested alerts and service communications, and maintain security and rate limits. We do not sell your personal data.
3. Who Receives Information
We use service providers for hosting, content delivery, databases, email, requested notifications, error monitoring and payments. Stripe processes subscriptions. Hosted AI assistance, playbooks and research search indexing can send relevant prompts, selected workspace text and authorized tool results to AI or embedding service providers. This can include private research, contact, account and issue material needed for the feature. Connected AI clients receive the tool responses you authorize. Configured webhook recipients receive the deliveries you enable. If an authorized user publishes a shareable page or board, its selected public content becomes accessible to people with the link.
If you allow optional measurement on our website, Google Ads receives advertising and conversion events, which can include click identifiers, event names, plan, value, currency and a transaction identifier. Browser requests also expose ordinary network and page metadata to the provider. Optional measurement stays off until you allow it below or through the website's measurement choice.
4. Workspace Visibility & Retention
Material saved to a workspace is visible to users authorized to read that workspace and to connected AI clients you authorize. Your authorized client controls which source material it submits; review its permissions and provider policies. Archiving hides or removes a record from active views but is not deletion.
Account, workspace, imported-message, saved-research, feedback and stored billing records currently have no fixed automatic age-based deletion deadline. They remain stored until removed through a supported deletion process. Request, tool and audit records also have no general automatic expiry; audit history is append-only. Contact us to request review, export or deletion of personal information, including information retained in those records.
Scheduled cleanup targets agent activity events after 30 days, agent sessions after 90 days, and published workspace replay events after 30 days. Webhook attempt logs become eligible after 30 days and settled delivery records after 90 days. Cleanup runs periodically, so removal can occur after these ages. Other provider-hosted logs and backups are outside these application cleanup periods; contact us about a specific retention request.
Optional attribution cookies have a 30-day lifetime, refreshed when saved during an allowed visit. Your optional-measurement choice is remembered for 30 days. Authentication validity periods limit access and do not imply that every expired authentication record has been deleted.
5. Optional Measurement Choices
Essential sign-in and security features work with optional measurement off. You can change the choice here. Choosing essential only stops optional measurement on later page loads and clears CongressMCP's attribution cookie and session attribution. Your browser's privacy controls can also limit third-party cookies and requests.
Optional measurement is off until you choose to allow it.
6. Your Rights & Contact
To access, export, update, or request deletion of your account or workspace data, email [email protected] or [email protected], or use /contact.
